Trading tips
One standard lot is 100,000 units
A 1.00 forex lot normally represents 100,000 units of the base currency; 0.10 is 10,000 and 0.01 is 1,000. Verify your broker specification.
JPY pairs use a different pip size
For the pairs supported here, a conventional pip is 0.01 for JPY quotes and 0.0001 for the other quotes.
Account currency matters
This calculator reports USD values. For USD/JPY, USD/CAD, and USD/CHF, it converts the quote-currency pip value using the pair rate entered.
Gross P/L is not net P/L
Spread, commission, financing, slippage, partial fills, and currency conversion can change the realised amount.
